Visa Innovation Program Europe, a collaborative platform focused on fintech pilots designed to help your company scale and engage with Visa, its clients and partners, is looking for fintech companies with the greatest potential to partner and conduct pilot or proof-of-concept projects with Visa clients and partners. Your capabilities must be ready to go to market in the country you are applying for. We can support market expansion needs on a case-by-case basis and other opportunities beyond. In addition, you will benefit from training, mentoring and introductions to selected investors.

TOPICS:

We are looking for the best and brightest companies to address our themes. Applicants must provide proven solutions to drive innovation and technology advancement for Visa and Visa clients in the following areas:

• Advances in next-generation payments experiences: Payments experiences in the metaverse, non-fungible tokens (NFT), DeFi applications, cryptocurrency, fraud and intelligence, open banking and digital wallets.
• Empowering merchants and SMEs: Next generation omnichannel and face-to-face payments, fees, credit scoring, POS financing, BNPL, digital onboarding for financial services, vendor onboarding and KYC solutions, merchant loyalty and engagement, and working capital optimization.
• Unlocking new payment flows: funds disbursements (e.g., social commerce, the maker economy, refunds, government payments, cross-border payments/ remittances), financial management platforms for enterprises (e.g., payments, accounts, procurement), virtual payment credentials, supply chain payments, vendor onboarding and KYC, treasury/Payment as a Service, and payment infrastructure enablers.
• Building a smart and sustainable future: urban mobility, government payments (e.g., financial aid, social benefits, bill and tax payments), interconnected services for citizens and tourists, financial education, carbon footprint/carbon neutral, sustainable finance/commerce/payment cards, impact management and measurement, and impact investing.
• Integrated finance: flexible fees and funding models, consumer loyalty and rewards, pre- and post-transaction engagement (e.g. sustainability tracking, transaction controls, PFM), authentication solutions, banking/Fintech as a service and B2B platform enablers.

PROGRAM:

• April 27, 2023 - Selection of startups and scale ups in Spain.
• May 2023 - Start of the program.
• June 2023 - Discovery sessions and individual meetings with PoC partners.
• June to November 2023 - Design thinking workshops and sprints. PoC/pilot development and mentoring sessions.
• December 2023 - Graduation event.

Registration is formalized through Visa Innovation Program Europe.
